England is currently divided into three tiers and have differing restrictions. The gov.uk information states that:

Little North Field is currently in the medium tier.

Medium Tier:

  • When seeing friends and family you do not live with( or who are not part of your support bubble) you must not meet in a group of more than 6, indoors or outdoors. In England, this limit of 6 includes children of any age.

High Tier:

  • You can still go on holiday outside of high alert areas but you must only do this with people i your household or support bubble.

Very High Tier:

  • The government is advising people not to travel into or out of an area categorised as a very high alert area, we ask you to avoid staying overnight in another part of the UK,


These rules are changing regularly and we are keeping up to date with developments. Please get in touch via email if you need further clarification from us.

Due to new laws we are no longer able to take group bookings ,if there are more than 6 friends and family wanting to stay, even if in separate tents  for 2020 and 2021, please contact us by email if you require further clarification.

New Covid-19 rules that came into force on 14th September 2020 means we are no longer taking bookings for more than 1 tent if 6 or more friends or family members are staying the at the same time. Please contacts by email if you are unsure if these rules apply to you.

What we are doing to ensure you have a great and most importantly a safe stay at Little North Field.
We are proud to have achieved the  Covid Confident Accreditation from the AA
Little North Field is a brand new site for 2020, our tents and furnishings are pristine.
We are following industry guidelines to ensure we fully adhere to all robust Covid 19 protocols in regard to keeping our guests and staff safe.

A big advantage to our site is size and space!
With just three tents in one and a half acres.
No shared facilities
All tents fully self contained with its own facilities:
  • kitchen
  • bathroom
  • outside BBQ area

If there is a change in government advice, you will be able to reschedule your stay for an alternative date.

To look after our tents we ask guests to remove muddy/dirty footwear before entering tent.

No barbecuing/cooking/fire-pits  are allowed on wooden deck area.

Little North Fields is fantastically placed for accessing the local area.

The site is located off Fountains Road, whilst it is a local road there is agricultural traffic from our local farming friends at their peak times of year.

We expect all our guests to respect and look after the site and the safari tents. We also ask you to respect your fellow guests and keep noise levels to a minimum after 10pm.

Parents are responsible for their children, and children must be supervised at all times.

Our safari tents are sited in a quiet field. We take our Health and Safety responsibilities very seriously and ask visitors to respect our safety rules.

Two miles down the road, 5 min drive:

Ripley Village has a well stocked small shop(amazing pies and pasties) butchers, cafe, gift shop, pub and post office. 

Markington Village Shop also 5 minute drive.

Yes The Chequers Inn is a 5 minute walk, offering a Carvery every day, Steak night Wednesday and of course Fish and Chips on Friday!! 

Please be aware the walk to the pub is on a  road  without a footpath and appropriate care needs to be taken with children.

Just one of our tents, Foxes Den is fog friendly. Please be aware dogs must be kept on a lead while on site, we are in the countryside and livestock is in neighbouring fields.
There is a £25 surcharge per stay for extra cleaning required.

Please do not allow dogs on guest beds and furniture.

You are camping and it can be VERY cold at night!!! Please bring warm sleepwear and torches. Practical footwear for weather eventualities- Wellies!

Food and drinks for your stay.

Charcoal for BBQ. (Can be purchased on site)

Kitchen- tea, coffee,salt,pepper,olive oil,wash up liquid.

Bedding and towels- provided, toilet rolls and hand wash provided. Hot water bottles also provided

Log burner- enough wood, kindling, matches, firelighters for fire on first night. 

Extras can be purchased on site.

Currently there is no wifi available in our tents. There is a wifi hotspot planned for late 2020 when we are scheduled to be connected to Super Fast North Yorkshire. We will keep you updated.

 Check in is from 4pm to 6pm , please let us know if you will arrive any later.

We ask you vacate the site at 10am so we can make preparations for our next guests.

As we are in a little dip there is not a good signal onsite. We recommend you make calls when out and about!
