Our First Summer
Little North Field luxury glamping in Yorkshire opened in July 2020, as restrictions began lifting in the country and gradually places began to open after the first lockdown.
As we were a brand new glamping site we literally had a handful of bookings!! This however changed very quickly as people were desperate to escape their homes and have a change of scenery, practically all foreign holidays were cancelled. As we promoted our luxury safari tents in Yorkshire on different platforms, Cool Camping, Airbnb, Facebook and of course our marvellous family and friends spreading the word. Very quickly bookings for our safari tents came in and thats it we were off at full speed!
I can remember being so nervous when we had our guests staying for the weekend, rushing over in the morning to see if they had slept!! Our very first guests were amazing as were all our guests in our first very special summer opening at our new glamping site. Everyone loved the site and really appreciated all the little details in the safari tents. It was great to see:
- Campfires glowing
- BBQ’s sizzling
- Wheelbarrows flying up and down the path!!
- Children playing and making new holiday friends
- Corks popping
- Glampers setting off on new adventures
- Watching people relax, unwind,chill during their glamping holiday.
As I write this in lockdown 3, I can’t wait for the site to come back to life, looking forward to welcoming glampers, some of our old friends and some new!! It is set to be a busy one as after lockdown people will want to get out into our great British Countryside and truly experience the great outdoors.
